Our Story: Football Without Boundaries

At Worcester City Football Club, we believe that the beautiful game belongs to everyone. What started as a local football club in 1902 has evolved into a deeply rooted community institution.

Our Inclusion & Community branch was built out of a simple, vital realization: as young people with additional needs or disabilities transition into adulthood (16+), the opportunities for regular, structured, and social exercise often shrink. We created our 16+ pan-disability teams and community programmes to shatter those barriers. Today, we stand as a proud pillar of disability football in Worcestershire, offering a competitive and social home to players from all walks of life.

• Dignity & Independence: We don't patronize our 16+ players. We treat them as athletes, teammates, and adults. Every session is designed to foster personal growth and self-reliance.

• A Lifelong Community: For many of our players, the club is their main social hub. We actively cultivate an environment where teammates look out for one another both on and off the pitch.

• Total Transparency: We know it takes immense trust to hand your young adult over to a sports program. We maintain completely open communication channels with parents, carers, and families at all times.

Our Coaching Standards

• FA Qualifications: All lead coaches hold official English Football Association (FA) coaching credentials.

• Specialized Training: Our staff undergo specific training in Coaching Disability Football, ensuring they understand how to adapt drills for neurodivergent players, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.

• Medical & Safeguarding: Every single coach, volunteer, and staff member holds an active Enhanced DBS Check, an FA Safeguarding Adults/Children certificate, and up-to-date Emergency First Aid qualifications.
